Juvenile

Juvenile Mental Health

Juvenile and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada:

Withdrawal Management and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at Grand River Hospital had the same director. We were excited last year when she asked us to train the clinical staff of the hospital’s juvenile mental health services in deep diaphragmatic breathing in order that they in turn could help their young mental health patients.

Reaching Out

Because of the community and human orientation of our organization on one side and on the other the far reaching effects of the pratice of deep breathing in physical health, mental health, learning ability, cognition and behaviour, we have had an extensive outreach program in our local community. We would like to share our previous experience and future plans in this connection.
